Today is National Tequila Day. (Tomorrow — no lie — is National Hot Fudge Sundae Day.) Around here, we don’t care about that. But we do care about tequila. Mostly drinking it. Although we also care about mixing it into cocktails and then drinking it.
There are a whole slew of posts on Professor Cocktail about tequila. Here are a few I’d like to highlight:
Professor Cocktail’s Recommended Tequilas — a list of quality spirits that are made in (mostly) the traditional fashion.
Five Tequilas I Like to Drink — this was a couple years ago, so it’s not the most up-to-date list, but it’s still good.
Margarita Recipe — the premier tequila cocktail.
Paloma Recipe — the second-best tequila cocktail.
In case you’re too lazy to read that stuff, here are a few tips.
My Favorite Inexpensive Tequila is Olmeca Altos Plata.
My Favorite Easy to Find Premium Tequila is Don Julio Blanco.
My Favorite Overall Tequila is Tequila Tapatio Blanco.
