- 1 1/2 oz. Brandy or Cognac
- 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1/2 barspoon Vanilla Extract (a couple dashes)
- 3 oz. Whole Milk or Half and Half
- Freshly-grated nutmeg and/or cinnamon, for garnish
- Shake well with ice, then strain into an old-fashioned or small highball glass with a few cubes of fresh ice. Garnish with the spice of your choice.
